Energy Efficient Communities Program

Reduce energy costs with funding up to $20k

Brisbane City Council’s sustainability agency CitySmart through its Green Heart Business Program is helping local small and medium businesses access funding up to $20,000 for energy-efficiency upgrades.

The funding will come from the Commonwealth Government’s $40 million Energy Efficient Communities Program (EECP). Eligible businesses can receive up to $20,000 towards energy efficient equipment upgrades, monitoring systems and audits to help reduce energy consumption.

Applications to the EECP are expected to open soon, and CitySmart is providing a Grant Readiness Service to help your business prepare and apply.

Following registration of interest, CitySmart will provide you with updates on the grant program as it develops and, if you wish to proceed, arrange an introduction to relevant services and suppliers.

They will also offer support in submission of your grant application, subject to the Federal Government’s release of full program guidelines.

Find out more and register your interest for the Grant Readiness Service at https://www.citysmart.com.au/news/eecp-grant-readiness-service/
